HABITAT AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION SOCIETY

FUNDRAISING POLICY

To achieve our objectives we have to raise vital funds by carrying out fundraising.

Outlined below is an overview of fundraising activities, how we generate funds and what we spend the funds on;-

  • We receive most of our financial support from individuals through a range of activities in which our supporters and volunteers assist our fundraising activities. These include organised fundraising events, collections, donations and will legacies .
  • We aim to build lasting support from institutional bodies, such bodies include statutory grant funders, trusts and corporate businesses.
  • We also generate income from the sale of materials that support our work such as images and educational material

We fundraise in a fair and responsible way and ensure funds are spent in the most effective way to provide educational support to organisations in the field of conservation of wildlife and their habitats, to provide support and monetary donations to the projects and people working directly in the field.

As part of our policies, we ensure that fundraising is conducted to the highest quality and that practices and procedures are in place and closely adhered to – particularly in protecting individuals who may be in vulnerable circumstances.

Fundraisers working voluntarily are given guidelines and a volunteer pack and we will risk assess our fundraising events.
